7 million of tonnes of European clothing and household textiles eventually go to landfill or incineration. While policy is drastically increasing the pressure for change in textiles, a lack of timely, useful information is a major roadblock to transition.
The right data in near-real time supports municipalities and their collection and sorting partners to keep textiles circulating. Local leaders are paving the way to circular textiles using data, and the first learnings from Estonia are now available in a practical guide for better textile management.
Join us on 25 June at 12:00 CET for a live presentation of the “Basic Textile Data: Best Practices and Case Studies for Municipalities” guide from the authors, followed by a Q&A session.
Speakers:
Kerli Lambing (Lääne-Harju)
Kerli Laur (Saku)
Mari-Helene Kaber (Humana Estonia)
Moderated by Traci Kinden (TEXroad)
In the 45-minute presentation, the speakers will discuss:
Why textile data matters
Setting a baseline for municipalities, collectors and sorters
The quantitative and qualitative data to collect and the key metrics to measure
Step-by-step instructions on textile data collection, analysis and putting data into action for municipalities
Highlights of the Saku and Lääne-Harju case studies
The event will be held as a LinkedIn Live, and the recording will be available to revisit on the TEXroad LinkedIn page.
